The EfficientGrip Performance 2 is a summer touring tyre for passenger cars. Based on customer reviews, it is the better choice, beating the ProContact TX across the board. However, it is only a summer tyre and not all season like the Continental.

Cinturato P7

Pirelli's Cinturato™ P7 is similar to the ProContact TX in features offered. The Pirelli scores are higher though, including ride comfort and wet and dry grip. But doesn't have all-season abilities like the Continental if you drive in light snow conditions.

Nankang AS1

The Nankang AS-1 is a budget tyre for regular, everyday passenger cars. It is no match to the Continental ProContact TX, falling way behind and is only a summer tyre too. Though it is more affordable, it might not provide all you need in a tyre.
