Michelin Primacy 4 UTQG 340 A A

Compare and Rate Your Tyre on its Treadwear, Traction, and Temperature

tyre-size

340 A A

•  340 Treadwear:
This grade represents the tyre's expected life/duration, ranging between 100 to 1000. Usually, the higher the treadwear rating, the longer the tyre life.

•  A Traction:
This grade represents the tyre's capability to stop on wet asphalt and pavement. Ratings are expressed in letter form, with AA being the highest and C as the lowest.

•  A Temperature:
This grade represents the tyre's heat resistance ability, with A as the highest and C as the lowest. Heat build-up causes the rubber to break down faster, which can cause blowouts. The higher the temperature rating, the longer the tyre life and the higher the speed rating.

The Michelin Primacy 4 is an Asymmetrical Tyre

tyre-size

Asymmetrical tread patterns combine different tread types to deliver maximum wet and dry road grip via its inner and middle tread, while outside, larger and rigid tread blocks dominate the design to improve cornering.

To avoid fitting mistakes, asymmetrical tyres are labelled "outside" and "inside only" so you know if they will face your vehicle or out.

The Michelin Primacy 4 is a Silent Tyre

tyre-size

Noise–canceling technologies include:

•  Advanced tread designs:
Optimizes air flow in the tyre grooves for a quiet ride.

•  Specialized rubber tread compounds:
Absorbs road vibrations for less noise.

•  Made with sound absorbing materials:
Special polyurethane foam layers inside the tyre reduce noise and absorb vibrations.

Michelin OEM Tyres

The Primacy 4 was chosen as the Original Equipment tyres for a number of vehicles, including the Ford Focus, the Honda BRV and the Holden Calais.

OEM or "original equipment manufacturer", means that Michelin's engineers worked with these companies to design a tyre model specifically for a brand new vehicle model.

Each OEM tyre is designed and repeatedly tested by car manufacturer engineers to ensure it meets the maximum performance, safety, and fuel efficiency parameters that will best benefit the vehicle.

Michelin Run-Flat Tyre

A Run-flat tyre will allow you to keep driving safely even with a puncture.

There is no need for a spare tyre, and you can get to the nearest petrol station without changing your flat tyre at the side of the road.

Michelin's ZERO PRESSURE™ Run-flat technology allows you to drive up to 80 km after a puncture at a maximum speed of 80 km/h.

Each Michelin ZERO PRESSURE™ tyre features a self-supporting reinforced sidewall so the tyre won't collapse and slip off the rim.
