The four straight main grooves running along the face of the tread provide maximum water drainage, which reduces the risk of hydroplaning. Further the slanted long groove design in the center rib disperses water through the circumferential grooves, which increases the contact area on the road and increases performance whilst driving on wet roads. The center rib also provides stability at high speeds. The tread pattern design has also been made to minimise noise, by creating more sipes on the tyres, the more rubber is in contact with the road, allowing for a quieter ride.
